A Chance in Seasons, A Change in Life

Autumn has arrived in Idaho, bringing cooler temperatures and shorter days. For those who like to enjoy the outdoors on two pedals, autumn brings changes. Long-sleeve cycling jackets, full length cycling tights, full-finger gloves, and headbands under helmets, help keep bodies warm during the brisk weather. Bright headlights and taillights help visibility and increase safety.

Scripture teaches that changes will occur. According to Ecclesiastes 3:1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” The passage lists these seasons as birth and death, plant and uproot, kill and heal, tear down and build, weep and laugh, mourn and dance, scatter stones and gather them, embrace and refrain from embracing, search and give up, keep and throw away, tear and mend, silent and speak, love and hate, and war and peace.

So just as there are seasons of nature, there are seasons of life. Changing into warmer clothes to cycle in the Fall is a minor change in the bigger picture of life. In life we can have major changes: in relationships, in health, in location, in interests, in family, and in employment.

Starting a new job can mean switching employers, accompanied by starting a new retirement plan and deciding what to do with the previous plan. Christian Wealth Management can help navigate changes like this. We can help you roll over your old 401(k), 403(b), SIMPLE IRA, and other employer retirement plans. Give us a call today. We may be on a bike ride, but we’ll get back to you as soon as we finish pedaling (and warm up)!
